BEHAVIORAL THERAPISTS

All ELCA Behavioral therapists must either have or be working toward a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, special education, or a related field. Behavioral therapists are trained in ELCA’s workshops, at staff meetings, and also receive extensive on the job training in which they are given both verbal and written feedback. Behavioral therapists are responsible for direct service, data collection, and team meeting attendance.

SENIOR THERAPISTS

All ELCA Sr. therapists must either have or be working toward a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, special education, or a related field. They are required to have been working in the field of autism for a minimum of 2 years. Sr. therapists are trained in ELCA’s workshops, at staff meetings, and also receive extensive on the job training in which they are given both verbal and written feedback. Sr. therapists are responsible for direct service, data collection, and team meeting attendance. Additionally, they are given a leadership role in the program in which they are asked to assist the Supervisor and Consultant with administrative duties.

PROGRAM SUPERVISORS

All ELCA Supervisors have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field. They are required to have worked in the field of autism for a minimum of 3 years and have a variety of experiences with a wide range of children. Supervisors are responsible for direct service, data collection and clinic meeting attendance. Additionally, they are responsible for assisting the consultant with training, assessment, program binder maintenance, and creating visuals and other materials.

BEHAVIORAL CONSULTANTS

All ELCA Consultants have completed the coursework of a Master’s Degree in either Psychology or Special Education, and are equipped with at least 5 years of experience in the field of autism. Consultants are responsible for the initial and ongoing development of the program and the behavior support plans. They conduct assessments, direct therapy, functional behavioral assessments, trainings, write necessary reports, create new programming individualized for the child if necessary, and conduct team meetings.
